Hulu’s ‘Got to Get Out’ Winner: Breakdown of $1 Million Prize Split
Hulu’s exciting new competition show ‘Got to Get Out’ just wrapped up its first season, dropping all episodes on April 11th. The game featured a mix of reality TV veterans and newcomers vying for a portion of a $1 million prize.
During the intense 10-day competition, contestants watched as a dollar was added to the prize pot every second. Players were given random exit strategies tied to certain dollar amounts in the pot, which allowed them to escape the mansion and sprint for the gates. Successfully escaping meant keeping the money in the bank at that time, while those who didn’t make it out saw the pot reset to zero.
In Episode 5, Cynthia Bailey and Stein Retzlaff successfully executed an exit strategy, with Cynthia playing a strategic role as the “button watcher.” She cleverly orchestrated their escape, allowing Stein to dash through the gates with $312,060.
The duo decided to split their earnings, each walking away with $156,030 and leaving the competition with days to spare. However, not everyone was as fortunate, with contestants Clare Crawley and Jill Ashlock deciding to leave in Episode 6.
As the competition continued, tension rose, and exit strategies became riskier. The final episode saw no successful escapes, with additional penalties in place to deter premature button-pushing.
Spencer Pratt and Lindsey Coffey both had exit strategies at high dollar amounts, but their plans were foiled by keen-eyed opponents. In the end, no one else managed to escape, and the remaining 16 players split the remaining $687,940 prize, each taking home $42,996.
The players who made it to the end were Spencer, Kim, Val, Demi, Susan, Omarosa, Rashad, Doodles, Athena V., Lindsey, Shane, Steven, Rob, Steve, Yahné, and Athena S.
‘Got to Get Out,’ Season 1, is now available for streaming on Hulu for those who want to catch up on all the intense competition.
