Hailee Steinfeld Discusses Kate Bishop’s Return in Hawkeye Amid Avengers: Doomsday Speculation

Actress Hailee Steinfeld, known for her role as Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently shared her thoughts on the character’s future in the MCU. After debuting in the Disney+ series Hawkeye in 2021 and making a brief appearance in The Marvels in 2023, Steinfeld discussed her excitement about continuing to develop Kate in future projects.

In a recent interview with Backstage, Steinfeld expressed her enthusiasm for taking the experiences from her upcoming movie, Sinners, and applying them to her future work, particularly in the MCU. She described the opportunity to explore a character like Kate in such a vast universe as both rewarding and fulfilling. Steinfeld acknowledged the character’s popularity, saying she loves Kate and understands why fans do too.

Steinfeld’s involvement with the MCU extends beyond her portrayal of Kate Bishop. She worked with director Ryan Coogler and actor Michael B. Jordan on Sinners, a vampire horror film set during the Prohibition era, set to release in U.S. theaters on April 18, 2025.

Despite not being listed among the initial cast members for Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel Studios’ recent announcement of more than 25 cast names didn’t rule out Steinfeld’s potential appearance in the film. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige hinted that not all cast members were revealed, leaving room for surprises. The conclusion of The Marvels hinted at a Young Avengers project, suggesting Steinfeld may have a significant role in Marvel’s future plans, even if not in Doomsday.
