‘Survivor’ Cast Members Cameos in ‘The White Lotus’

Mike White, the mastermind behind “The White Lotus,” has been integrating his love for reality television into the show. As a fervent fan of “Survivor,” White’s passion for the long-standing reality show has been evident in both his work and his personal life.

Back in 2018, well before “The White Lotus” burst onto the scene, White was already maneuvering through the jungles of “Survivor” in Season 37. It wasn’t just a random stint for White, but a dream realized for a die-hard reality TV enthusiast. Even though he didn’t secure the top spot and ended up in second place with just three votes compared to Nick Wilson’s seven, the experience left a lasting impact on White.

Following his exhilarating time on “Survivor: David vs. Goliath,” White has been known to extend invitations to some of his former “Survivor” comrades to make appearances on his Emmy-winning creation, “The White Lotus.” The show, which he not only developed but also pens and directs, has welcomed a few familiar faces from the reality competition series.

Among the notable cameos in Season 3 of “The White Lotus” were Natalie Cole and Carl Boudreaux, both veterans from the world of “Survivor.” In an intriguing moment during the season premiere, viewers caught a glimpse of Natalie and Carl dining at the hotel’s restaurant, with Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda greeting them as she passed by. The interaction left Belinda beaming with excitement as she recounted the encounter to her son, exclaiming joyfully at having seen “two Black people tonight, and they weren’t staff!”
