Haliey Welch Makes Cameo Appearance in Glen Powell’s Show ‘Chad Powers’

Haliey Welch, also known as the Hawk Tuah Girl, is making a cameo appearance in Glen Powell’s upcoming show “Chad Powers” in Hollywood. The 22-year-old meme queen gained fame through a viral TikTok video and is now marking her first acting role post-fame with this cameo. She has also appeared in “Summer House” star West Wilson’s YouTube dating show, “West Date Ever.”

In “Chad Powers,” Welch will play herself in a scene where Powell’s character bumps into her at a club. The show, created by Powell and Michael Waldron, follows the story of a disgraced college quarterback who disguises himself as Chad Powers to revive his football career. Powell, aged 36, will be starring as the lead character in the Hulu series.

Reports of Welch filming her cameo for “Chad Powers” come almost a year after her viral TikTok street interview in Nashville, where she introduced her famous catchphrase. Following her sudden fame, Welch has had many opportunities, including joining Zach Bryan on stage during a concert, throwing the first pitch at a New York Mets game, and appearing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” She also launched a podcast titled “Talk Tuah with Haliey Welch.”

However, Welch faced backlash when her cryptocurrency memecoin, Hawkcoin, launched and then quickly crashed. Despite this controversy, Welch cooperated with authorities and legal teams, ultimately being cleared of any wrongdoing by the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

In addition to her cameo in “Chad Powers,” Welch will be featured in an upcoming documentary called “DocTuah,” which chronicles her journey from a small-town girl to a global social media sensation. The documentary will explore how a single viral moment propelled Welch to fame around the world.
