Alex Garland’s ‘Warfare’ Streaming Release Date

Currently, the only way to catch the action-packed film Warfare is by heading to your local theater, so be sure to check for showtimes nearby.

But don’t worry, if you prefer the convenience of streaming from the comfort of your own home, Warfare will be making its way to digital streaming through premium video on demand (PVOD) soon. A24, the studio behind the film, typically releases their movies on PVOD about a month after they hit theaters for wide release. Remember, A24 is an independent studio, so they often start with limited releases before going wide.

For those who love a good thriller, previous A24 films like The Brutalist and Babygirl followed a similar PVOD timeline after their theatrical releases. So, if Warfare follows suit, we can expect to see it on PVOD around May 13 to May 20, since new PVOD releases usually drop on Tuesdays.

Now, when it comes to streaming services, A24 has a deal with Max to be the first to stream their films. So when Warfare is available for streaming, you’ll find it on the Warner Bros. Discovery platform. Max offers different subscription options ranging from $9.99 per month with ads, $16.99 per month without ads, to a premium ad-free tier for $20.99 per month with programming in 4K Ultra HD.

Typically, it takes about four months for A24 films to arrive on streaming video on demand (SVOD) on Max after their theatrical releases. Following this timeline, we can anticipate that Warfare will hit SVOD on Max around July 11. Just like with Heretic and Babygirl, which arrived on Max four months after their theatrical debuts.
