David Spade comedy special premiering May 6 on Prime Video
Prime Video recently announced that the talented comedian and former Saturday Night Live cast member, David Spade, will be premiering his new comedy special, “Dandelion,” on May 6. In this special, Spade will tackle topics such as the challenges of flying, charity auctions, and the changing landscape of the adult entertainment industry.
Many of us remember Spade from his Emmy Award-nominated role in the comedy series “Just Shoot Me” back in 1999, as well as his appearances in popular films like “Tommy Boy,” “Black Sheep,” “The Emperor’s New Groove,” and “Joe Dirt.” “Dandelion” will be Spade’s first comedy special since “Nothing Personal,” which debuted on Netflix in 2022.
Aside from his stand-up comedy work, Spade co-hosts the hilarious podcast “Fly on the Wall” with his former SNL colleague Dana Carvey, which took home the prize for Best Comedy Podcast at the 2024 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards.
Directed and produced by Spade himself, “Dandelion” also boasts Marc Gurvitz, Alex Murray, and John Irwin as additional producers, promising to deliver an entertaining and laughter-filled experience for viewers.
