Prime Video Documentary: Kyle Larson Attempts ‘The Double’ Racing Challenge
Kyle Larson is gearing up for his second shot at “The Double” in 2025, and this time around, he’s getting the full documentary treatment from Prime Video. The streaming platform announced on Tuesday that they will be the presenting sponsor for Larson as he takes on the challenge of racing 1,100 miles on May 25th.
Last year, Larson’s attempt at the Double was derailed by weather delays at the Indianapolis 500, but he and his team at Hendrick Motorsports didn’t give up. Despite the setback, they decided to complete all the laps at the Indy 500 before heading to the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Unfortunately, rain delays cut that race short, but Larson is determined to go the distance this time around.
Reflecting on last year, Larson said, “Last year gave us a great foundation, and now we get to build on it. I’m excited to come back stronger in 2025 and give it everything we’ve got to finish all 1,100 miles.” Having Prime Video on board to stream the 600 and document the entire experience adds an extra layer of excitement for Larson.
With his contract for the Indianapolis 500 spanning more than a year, Larson is well positioned for a strong comeback in his second attempt at the Double. The driver of the No. 5 car is looking to build on the progress he made in the 2024 Indy 500 and aims to complete all the laps on Sunday, May 25th. It’s sure to be an exciting month for Larson, and he’s ready to give it his all.
