Amazon Prime Video Launches Apple TV+ Subscriptions in India

Apple TV+ has officially arrived in the Indian market with an exciting new offering—it’s now available as an add-on subscription on Amazon’s Prime Video India. This means that starting from April 2, viewers in India can enjoy Apple TV+ content in addition to their Prime Video subscription. The monthly fee for Apple TV+ is $1.1 on top of the regular Prime Video subscription.

The addition of Apple TV+ to the Prime Video platform comes as a pleasant surprise for Indian movie enthusiasts. This add-on subscription was already up and running in the US since its launch in 2024. Now, Prime members in India can access exclusive shows and movies, expanding their entertainment options with new weekly releases to enjoy.

Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services, shared his excitement about the Indian launch, stating, “Viewers have been loving the ability to subscribe to Apple TV+ on Prime Video and we’re pleased to now launch this offering in India. We want to make Apple TV+ and its award-winning library of series and films from the world’s greatest storytellers available to audiences around the world.”

With the introduction of Apple TV+ on Prime Video India, a whole new range of content has become accessible to viewers. You can now catch popular shows like Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Severance, The Morning Show, Slow Horses, Disclaimer, Silo, Wolfs, and The Gorge with your Apple TV+ subscription on Prime Video in India.

In addition to Apple TV+, Prime Video also offers a wide selection of content from various add-on partners like Discovery+, Lionsgate Play, BBC Player, Sony Pictures – Stream, MGM+, Anime Times, Animax+GEM, Crunchyroll, CN Rewind, Channel K, Hoichoi, Chaupal, and Manorama Max. By combining the libraries of Prime Video and MX Player, which is now a free ad-based platform, viewers have even more options to choose from at their fingertips.

Kelly Day, Vice President of International at Prime Video, expressed her delight at offering a broader selection of TV shows and films in one consolidated app experience. Gaurav Bhasin, Head of Marketplace for Prime Video in India, shared his enthusiasm for welcoming Apple TV+ to the Indian market, emphasizing that Prime members in India will enjoy easy access to Apple Originals through a simple add-on subscription. With over 75,000 hours of additional content available across various genres from Indian and international sources, Prime Video continues to establish itself as a go-to entertainment destination for viewers in India.
