Wizards Beyond Waverly Place: Season 2 Renewed on Disney+
If you’re a fan of the magical world of “Wizards of Waverly Place,” you’re in for a treat! The continuation series, “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” has just been renewed for a second season by Disney Branded Television.
Set to premiere on Disney Channel, Disney+, and Disney Channel On Demand, the new season will kick off production next month in Los Angeles. The show continues the story of an adult Justin Russo, who has left his magical life behind to lead a normal, mortal life with his family. However, when a wizard-in-training named Billie comes seeking help from Justin’s sister Alex, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor Billie, all while balancing his everyday responsibilities and protecting the future of the Wizard World.
Executive producer and series star David Henrie expressed his gratitude for the love the series has received and promised more magical surprises for fans in the upcoming season. The first episode of “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” was a massive hit, becoming Disney Channel’s most-watched series premiere ever on Disney+. It garnered 3.2 million views globally in just 12 days, with an additional 2.3 million views on Disney Channel YouTube.
The series has been a hit on social media as well, with more than 294 million total impressions and over 23 million engagements across various platforms. With a star-studded cast and talented executive producers like Jed Elinoff, Scott Thomas, Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Selena Gomez, and David Henrie, the show promises to continue delivering the magic that fans love.
