Christina Hendricks discusses ‘Good American Family’ on Hulu
Christina Hendricks recently shared her experience of being cast in Hulu’s new miniseries, Good American Family, just 30 hours before filming. The show features A-list actors like Ellen Pompeo, Mark Duplass, Sarayu Blue, Dulé Hill, and others, telling the story of the Barnett family and their adopted daughter, Natalia Grace. As part of the cast, Hendricks plays the role of Cynthia Mans, Natalia’s third adoptive mother.
Imogen Faith Reid, making her professional acting debut, plays the character of Natalia Grace. She details the extensive preparation that went into embodying her character, which included working with acting and movement coaches to accurately portray the unique physicality required for the role. Reid expressed her motivation to showcase Natalia’s light, empowerment, and fight for justice, particularly as someone with dwarfism herself.
Reid’s journey to participating in Good American Family began with a self-taped audition from Europe.
