‘Reacher’ Season 4: Potential Return of Alan Ritchson

Alan Ritchson has wrapped up Reacher Season 3, so what’s in store for the hit Prime Video series next? After the success of the first two seasons, Reacher Season 3 premiered with three episodes on Feb. 20 and concluded with Episode 8.

In this season, based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novel Persuader, the action takes place in Boston, where former Army Military Police investigator Reacher teams up with DEA Agent Susan Duffy to uncover a drug smuggling operation led by Zachary Beck. As Reacher pursues Xavier Quinn, one of Beck’s associates, the intensity ramps up.

Exciting news for fans – Prime Video confirmed a Season 4 for Reacher. According to Deadline, the announcement came in October 2024 from the show’s creator, Nick Santora. Amazon MGM Studios Head of Television Vernon Sanders expressed joy about the series’ popularity and renewal.

With 29 Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child to choose from, the options for Season 4’s book adaptation are vast. Season 1 was inspired by Child’s Killing Floor, while Season 2 drew from Bad Luck and Trouble. For Season 3, it was Persuader. Child himself mentioned in an interview with Business Insider his desire to see The Midnight Line brought to life on screen, a book that tackles the opioid crisis.

It’s not just up to Child, though. Alan Ritchson shared in a conversation prior to Season 3 that input on which book to adapt involves various perspectives from the team, including producer Don Granger and director Sam Hill.

As for the premiere of Reacher Season 4, stay tuned for the announcement of the next thrilling chapter in this action-packed series.
