Watch ‘The Studio’ Comedy Series on Apple TV+ Now
Apple TV+ has just released its latest comedy series, “The Studio,” starring Seth Rogen as a Hollywood exec navigating the ups and downs of an industry in flux. The show is a hilarious take on the inner workings of Tinseltown, expertly skewering the obsession with intellectual property and the eternal struggle between creativity and profit. Oh, and did we mention the star-studded cast of cameos?
In the first episode, Matt Remick (played by Rogen) enlists the help of none other than Martin Scorsese to launch a movie with the Kool-Aid drink brand – a zany idea that could only happen in Hollywood. The second episode showcases a failed attempt to capture an extended single-shot sequence – and true to form, the episode itself is filmed in one continuous take.
Joining Rogen in the main cast are Catherine O’Hara, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, and Kathryn Hahn. Plus, keep an eye out for a revolving door of A-list cameos including Bryan Cranston, Zac Efron, Adam Scott, Charlize Theron, Sarah Polley, and more. You might even catch Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos making an appearance.
After a successful premiere at SXSW, “The Studio” is winning over audiences and critics alike, boasting an impressive 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Some reviewers are calling it the best new comedy in years.
Ready to dive in? Two episodes of “The Studio” are now available to stream, with new episodes dropping weekly on Wednesdays until May 21. Watch on Apple TV+ using the TV app on all your favorite devices, from iPhones and iPads to smart TVs and game consoles, or catch it on the web at tv.apple.com if need be.
And that’s not all for Apple TV+! In addition to “The Studio,” the streaming service has just premiered “Side Quest,” an anthology series tied to the comedy “Mythic Quest.” Featuring dramatic and comedic stories set in the “Mythic Quest” universe, each of the four episodes tells a standalone tale.
For documentary buffs, Apple TV+ is also rolling out “Number One on the Call Sheet,” a two-parter spotlighting leading Black talents, and “Fight for Glory,” a three-part series on the 2024 World Series for baseball enthusiasts.
