Kaitlyn Dever Stars in Hulu Horror Movie Praised by Stephen King as ‘Brilliant’

Kaitlyn Dever is definitely making a name for herself this year, first with her successful Netflix series Apple Cider Vinegar, and next up with a big role in the upcoming second season of The Last of Us on HBO. Fans are eagerly awaiting her portrayal of Abby in the show, an important character in Joel and Ellie’s story. But before we see Dever in The Last of Us season 2, there’s a hidden gem you might want to check out on Hulu. It’s a horror movie called No One Will Save You, and it’s gotten some major praise from none other than Stephen King himself. King called the film “brilliant” and “daring” in a tweet, which has since been deleted, but we’ve got a screenshot of it for you to see.

If you’re a fan of the creepy Twilight Zone episode “The Invaders,” you might just love this movie. In both stories, a woman must face off against aliens, but No One Will Save You takes things to a whole new level of terror and claustrophobia. Dever portrays Brynn, a seamstress who lives in a remote area and is shunned by the people in her town. When aliens invade and start taking over, Brynn finds herself fighting for her life as one of the few who haven’t been transformed by the extraterrestrial threat. With no electronics working and no help in sight, she must barricade herself in her home and survive the night.

The film is the brainchild of writer and director Brian Duffield, known for his work on Love and Monsters and Spontaneous. Critics have applauded the movie, especially Dever’s performance. Despite having very little dialogue, she manages to convey the intense emotions of her character through her physical movements and expressions alone. No One Will Save You is a great showcase of Dever’s talent and sets the stage for what fans can expect from her in The Last of Us. So, if you’re looking for a taste of Dever’s dramatic and dark intensity, this movie is definitely worth a watch.
