Disney+ Launches ESPN in Australia and New Zealand with Nick Kyrgios-Fronted Campaign
ESPN has now launched on Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand, providing over 10,000 hours of live sports action to subscribers. This exciting news comes as Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max is set to join the Australian market on March 31.
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios is leading the charge in promoting the ESPN on Disney+ launch, encouraging fans to ‘Turn It On’. The addition of ESPN on Disney+ expands the platform’s offerings, joining the likes of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star.
Kylie Watson-Wheeler, senior vice president of The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “ESPN is the perfect match for our must-stream shows, offering 10,000 hours of live sports action, live events, on-demand replays, and original programming.”
Subscribers can enjoy live NBA double headers, Major League Baseball games, NCAA Basketball Championship’s ‘March Madness’, and UFC Fight Night events on the new ESPN hub on Disney+. The platform also includes popular studio shows like SportsCenter and ESPN’s acclaimed 30 for 30 films.
In addition to Disney+, ESPN is also available through platforms such as Foxtel, Kayo Sport, Fetch TV, and Sky NZ. With the addition of ESPN, Disney+ continues to solidify its position as a go-to destination for top-notch entertainment across various genres.
