Rockie Awards Nominations for Broadcasting Services
This year’s Rockie Awards, the international program competition held during the Banff World Media Festival, has announced its shortlist with over 150 nominees from 22 countries. The BBC is leading the pack with almost 30 nominations, followed by Nat Geo and Hulu with seven each. The ceremony will be combined with the Banff Gala Awards, creating an exciting event.
Taking place on Monday, June 9th, the Rockie Awards International Program Competition will feature 152 nominees across 30 categories, representing 22 countries. Countries with the most nominations include the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia, with other countries like Belgium, France, and South Korea also securing nominations.
The Grand Jury Prize, selected from the top-scoring programs, will be decided by the Rockie Awards Grand Jury. The jury includes industry professionals from Lionsgate, SBS, Tubi, Sky, Showtime/MTV, and Fremantle. The event promises to be a celebration of excellence in global entertainment, with attendees from all around the world.
