Oscar Nuñez to Reprise Role in ‘The Office’ Sequel Series on Peacock

More than a year ago, it was revealed that Greg Daniels is working on ideas for a new series that could be a follow-up to The Office, called The Paper. This upcoming series will stream on Peacock and will focus on the documentary crew from the original show as they embark on a new project—a struggling historic newspaper in the Midwest.

The story will revolve around the publisher’s efforts to revive the newspaper with the assistance of volunteer reporters. Excitingly, the series will have Greg Daniels as an executive producer, alongside Michael Koman, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and The Office creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. However, fans will be disappointed to hear that Steve Carell, who portrayed Michael Scott, will not be returning for this new installment.

The main cast of the show includes Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Melvin Gregg, Chelsea Frei, Ramona Young, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Tim Key, and Eric Rahill. Additionally, recurring cast members will feature Duane Shepard Sr.

It’s exciting to see these familiar faces and talented newcomers come together for what promises to be a compelling series. Stay tuned for more updates as the production progresses!
