‘Coyote Vs. Acme’ Movie Idea Could Be Coming to Life

Warner Bros. Discovery made a decision a few years ago to shelve a bunch of movies, including the highly anticipated Batgirl. But one hidden gem among those shelved films might finally see the light of day: Coyote Vs. Acme.

The concept is pure genius: Wile E. Coyote, the Looney Tunes character we all know and love, has been using Acme products for years in his futile attempts to catch the elusive Roadrunner. Unfortunately, many of these products have backfired on him in classic cartoon fashion.

Now, in a twist of events, Wile E. Coyote is taking Acme to court. How cool is that? This film promises to be a delightful mix of animation and live-action, much like the beloved classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit? And the stellar cast includes Will Forte, John Cena, and Lana Condor.

Based on a humorous piece from 1990 called “Coyote v. Acme” by Ian Frazier in The New Yorker, the movie was directed by David Green and written by Samy Burch, with inputs from James Gunn and Jeremy Slater.

Negotiations for the release of Coyote Vs. Acme are ongoing between Warner Bros. and Ketchup Entertainment and might involve a hefty $50 million investment. Ketchup Entertainment previously struck a deal to release another Looney Tunes movie, “The Day the Earth Blew Up,” which is currently in theaters.

It’s refreshing to see a creative take on existing characters and stories, and this movie seems to have nailed it. Stay tuned for more updates on whether Coyote Vs. Acme will finally make its way to the big screen.
