Zoren Show Filmed in Delaware County Now Available on Apple TV+

A new Apple TV+ series set in Philadelphia has hit the streaming service, called “Dope Thief.” Starring Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura, the show follows two thieves posing as DEA agents who get tangled with a major drug ring. Filming for some scenes took place in Delaware County, with Ridley Scott producing and directing the first two episodes. The show was originally titled “Sinking Spring” before being changed to “Catamount” and finally settled on “Dope Thief.”

In addition to “Dope Thief,” Netflix has premiered a new series called “The Electric State,” featuring Millie Bobby Brown embarking on a journey to find her presumed-dead brother with the help of a robot companion. Other new series to look out for include Paramount’s “Happy Face,” Brit Box’s “Ludwig,” and “The Residence” from Shonda Rhimes.

A local theater delight is happening at Hedgerow Theatre, where two British-inspired productions, “Nora: A Doll’s House” and “I, Banquo,” are being performed in repertory. These unique interpretations shed new light on classic works by Ibsen and Shakespeare, exploring different eras and perspectives. The plays are a must-see for theater enthusiasts looking for fresh takes on timeless stories.

On the television ratings front, legacy networks like ABC News and Fox News Channel continue to dominate the news landscape, while USA Network holds strong in the top entertainment stations. In cable entertainment, ESPN follows closely behind Fox News Channel in ratings, with TBS, CNN, and Comedy Central also maintaining good viewership.

With a mix of thrilling new shows, classic theater reimagined, and solid TV ratings, there’s plenty to keep entertainment lovers engaged and entertained this season. Whether you’re into crime dramas, thought-provoking theater, or breaking news, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
