Zoren: Delaware County Filmed Show Now Streaming on Apple TV+

Philadelphia is in the spotlight with a new Apple TV+ series called “Dope Thief,” featuring Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura as thieves who find themselves in the midst of a major drug operation. Filming took place in Delaware County earlier in 2024, with Ridley Scott on board as producer and director for the first two episodes.

In addition to “Dope Thief,” Netflix launched “The Electric State” starring Millie Bobby Brown, and there are more series on the horizon this week like Paramount’s “Happy Face,” Brit Box’s “Ludwig,” and Shonda Rhimes’ “The Residence” with Uzo Aduba.

On another note, “Abbott Elementary,” a show set in Philadelphia, continues to gain popularity, ranking third in national ratings for legacy networks. While cable and streaming services are also seeing success with series like “The Night Agent,” “Sweet Magnolias,” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Meanwhile, at Hedgerow Theatre, Artistic Director Marcie Bramucci brings us two unique plays, “Nora: A Doll’s House” by Stef Smith and “I, Banquo” by Tim Crouch. These works offer a fresh perspective on classic stories, shedding new light on timeless themes. “Nora: A Doll’s House” explores different eras in Nora’s life, highlighting key moments in women’s history like the right to vote and abortion rights, all set against a backdrop of changing language and societal norms.
