Janet McTeer is the latest addition to the star-studded cast of Guy Ritchie’s crime drama series, MobLand, set to premiere on Paramount+ on March 30. Joining the ranks of Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, McTeer, an Emmy and two-time Oscar nominee, will play the character Kat, described as both charming and violent. The series follows a London-based Irish crime family led by Brosnan’s character, Conrad Harrigan, as they battle for power within a global syndicate.

In MobLand, Mirren portrays Maeve, the brains behind the charm, while Hardy takes on the role of Harry Da Souza, the family’s fixer. The ensemble cast also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, and others. Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, the series is executive produced by Ritchie, along with a stellar lineup of industry professionals.

McTeer’s impressive career includes roles in acclaimed films like Tumbleweeds and Albert Nobbs, for which she received Oscar nominations, as well as an Emmy nod for her performance in the HBO movie Into the Storm. With MobLand, McTeer’s portrayal of Kat promises to bring a mix of charm and grit to the world of organized crime on screen.
