HBO brings ‘True Detective’ and ‘Hacks’ to TNT and TBS

HBO is shaking things up by bringing some of its popular shows to cable networks TNT and TBS, giving regular cable subscribers a chance to enjoy these hits.

“True Detective: Night Country,” the latest season of the gripping crime anthology series, will kick off on TNT on March 28. And fans of the award-winning comedy “Hacks,” normally exclusive to HBO Max, can catch the first three seasons on TBS starting April 3, just in time for the fourth season premiere on Max on April 10.

Of course, since these shows will be airing on cable, they’ll be edited to meet broadcast standards. This isn’t HBO’s first rodeo when it comes to sharing its content with cable networks, but it is the first time they’ve shared recent or current shows.

Channing Dungey, the CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group and US Networks, hinted that this move could be the start of more experiments to bring in new subscribers for HBO and Max.

Exciting times ahead for TV fans as HBO explores new ways to showcase its top-notch programming across different platforms, creating a win-win situation for viewers and the network alike.
