Apple TV+ Reveals Ted Lasso Season 4 & Jason Sudeikis Return

Ted Lasso fans, get ready for some exciting news! Apple TV+ has officially confirmed that our favorite Emmy award-winning series is coming back for a fourth season. That’s right, Jason Sudeikis will be reprising his role as the lovable coach Ted, who left AFC Richmond in series three to head back to the States.

In an exciting update, Sudeikis shared, “As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap,’ in season four the folks at AFC Richmond learn to leap before they look, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”

In the last season, we saw Roy Kent (played by Brett Goldstein) step up as the assistant coach, working alongside Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), while Ted dealt with some personal issues back in the States. Sudeikis is not only starring in the series but is also working behind the scenes as an executive producer, along with Goldstein, who is also on board as a writer.

If you can’t get enough of Ted Lasso, you’re not alone! The show has garnered a whopping 13 Emmy Awards and has been nominated an impressive 61 times. Sudeikis himself took home the lead actor in a comedy series award in both 2021 and 2022.

The series, developed by a talented team including Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt, has become a global sensation, spreading joy, kindness, and unwavering belief. Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV+, expressed his excitement by saying, “Ted Lasso has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter.”

Stay tuned for more updates on when the new season will premiere. Until then, let’s continue rooting for Coach Ted and his team at AFC Richmond!
