Season 3 of ‘Reacher’ Hits Record Debut on Amazon

Reacher Season 3 has smashed records with its viewership numbers, making it the biggest premiere yet on Amazon Prime Video! The action-packed show brought in a whopping 54.6 million viewers globally in the first 19 days after its release on February 20. This marks a slight increase from the previous season’s numbers, solidifying this series as a fan favorite.

According to Amazon, Reacher Season 3 is their most-watched premiere since Fallout, which garnered 65 million viewers in its first 16 days back in April 2024. It’s now in second place, only behind The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’s first season, in terms of viewership over a similar time frame.

The first five episodes of Reacher Season 3 have contributed to this impressive number, with the latest episode dropping early on a Thursday. Nielsen will release U.S. viewing figures for the premiere week on March 20, giving us a closer look at its performance closer to home.

Compared to other recent hits on Prime Video, Reacher’s numbers are outstanding. Cross managed 40 million viewers globally over a 20-day period in November and December, while The Rings of Power’s second season attracted 40 million viewers in just 11 days following its August 2024 debut. It’s unclear whether the 54.6 million viewers for Reacher represent an average audience or total viewers, but either way, it’s clear that this show is a massive success!
