Alex Cooper Lands First Major TV Gig as Executive Producer of ‘Overboard for Love’ on Hulu
Podcaster Alex Cooper, best known for “Call Her Daddy,” is venturing into television with her new project, a reality dating series called “Overboard for Love” on Hulu. The show, which Cooper will be executive producing, follows a group of singles as they board a luxury yacht to find love in a mix of romance, alliances, and heartbreak. Only one couple will come out on top, leaving the rest stranded in the search for love.
Joining Cooper as executive producers are Matt Kaplan and Mina Lefevre from Unwell Productions, Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, and Jason Ehrlich from Jeff Jenkins Productions, and Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans from 3BMG. This collaboration marks Hulu’s first TV project with Unwell Productions and its second with Jeff Jenkins Productions, known for hits like “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”
Rob Mills, Walt Disney Television’s executive vice president of unscripted and alternative entertainment, expressed his excitement for working with Alex and the team at Unwell Productions on this project. Cooper, who also hosted Peacock’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics and founded Trending, a Gen-Z media venture, is thrilled to bring “Overboard for Love” to life with Hulu. She aims to push boundaries and create bold, unfiltered content with this unique dating show, showcasing Unwell’s capabilities to viewers.
