Netflix’s Devil May Cry Maintains Source Material’s Style

Netflix’s Devil May Cry series is almost here, and based on the latest trailer, it’s looking like a pretty faithful adaptation of the beloved video games. The action-packed trailer, released by Netflix on Tuesday, gives us our best glimpse yet into what we can expect from the series.

Unsurprisingly, the trailer is full of high-octane action, with Dante taking down demons using his iconic sword and pistols. While it doesn’t appear that he’s using his Ebony and Ivory pistols in the trailer, the whole sequence is set to the tune of Papa Roach’s “Last Resort,” giving it that perfect early-2000s flair that fans will love.

But beyond the action-packed scenes, the trailer also drops some intriguing hints about the plot. It seems that White Rabbit, a character from the Devil May Cry 3 manga, will be the main adversary in the show. This was teased in previous trailers but now seems to be confirmed. There’s also a moment where White Rabbit appears to have Dante’s Perfect Amulet, adding an extra layer of mystery. Additionally, the trailer reveals a Vergil appearance, setting the stage for some intense conflicts for Dante throughout the first season’s eight episodes.

Devil May Cry is set to hit Netflix screens on April 3rd, so mark your calendars and get ready for some demon-slaying action!
