Russian Forces Surprise Ukrainian Troops by Hiding Inside Gas Pipeline

Report: Russian forces were reported hiding inside a gas pipeline in a surprise attack on Ukrainian troops. The soldiers reportedly traveled about 9 miles through the pipeline to strike at Ukrainian positions from the rear.

Ukraine initiated a significant cross-border incursion into the Kursk region in a daring attack, capturing a sizable amount of territory in just a few days, including the strategic border town of Sudzha. This operation had multiple objectives, including creating a bargaining chip for future negotiations and diverting resources from eastern Ukraine.

The soldiers involved in the Kursk operation are now facing relentless and bloody assaults from more than 50,000 troops, posing a significant risk of being encircled, as indicated by open-source maps.

Reports from Ukrainian and pro-Kremlin war bloggers shared that Russian operatives traveled about 15 kilometers inside the pipeline to penetrate Ukrainian defenses near Sudzha. The General Staff of Ukraine confirmed the use of the pipeline by Russian soldiers, leading to intense fighting in the area.

Some Russian war bloggers expressed doubts about the attacking force’s logistical capabilities and noted potential challenges associated with operating deep inside enemy territory without proper support. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed capturing several villages near Sudzha, while Ukraine remained silent on these claims.

Aside from the recent military operations, President Donald Trump expressed concerns over Ukraine’s survival amid the conflict with Russia, while France announced additional military aid for Ukraine financed through frozen Russian assets.
