Comedian Bill Burr on Where to Find Sad Men: Guitar Center

Comedian Bill Burr recently took a hilarious jab at Guitar Center in his new stand-up special, calling it “one of the saddest places on earth.” In a teaser clip shared on social media from his upcoming show, Drop Dead Years, Burr jokes about the customers at Guitar Center, saying, “Failed, struggling musicians behind the counter. A bunch of men in loveless marriages or divorced just walking around, looking at the guitars.”

The clip has caught the attention of some big names in the music industry, with Gibson’s Mark Agensi and Misha Mansoor of Periphery reacting with laughter emojis. Questlove also joined in with a bunch of skull emojis, and Blake Wyland of The Tone Mob podcast added, “The Void desires custom shop guitars and it must be satiated,” with a laughing emoji.

Despite the jokes, Guitar Center recently launched a program to help musicians replace instruments lost in LA wildfires. The initiative ran until the end of February, with the Guitar Center Foundation accepting applications for one-time grants to replace destroyed gear.

Bill Burr’s Drop Dead Years is set to premiere on Hulu on 14 March. So, if you’re looking for some entertainment to fill the void, be sure to check it out!
