2025 Big East Tournament Bracket: Schedule, Scores, Dates, Location & Updates
In just his second season coaching St. John’s, Rick Pitino has turned heads by leading the Red Storm to their first outright conference title since 1985. Now, they’re heading into the Big East Tournament as the No. 1 seed after dominating the league by multiple games. The big question on everyone’s mind is whether they can secure their first Big East Tournament title since 2000, especially while playing at Madison Square Garden, their home turf.
However, there are some tough competitors in the league who could stand in their way. Reigning national champion UConn, the No. 3 seed, had a bit of a bumpy regular season but is entering the postseason with a four-game winning streak and the momentum of being the reigning conference tournament champions. No. 5 seed Marquette and No. 2 seed Creighton are also strong contenders and will be looking to make a splash before the NCAA Tournament selection on Sunday.
One team that’s definitely one to watch is the No. 4 seed Xavier. Despite wins against tough teams like Creighton, Marquette, and UConn, they’re still considered on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament due to a slow start with a 9-7 record. Coach Sean Miller and his team are stepping up their game just in time for postseason play. It’s going to be an exciting battle in the Big East Tournament, and we can’t wait to see who comes out on top!
