Mufasa: The Lion King to Premiere on Disney+ Soon
Mufasa: The Lion King made a splash in theaters last year, inspiring new snacks in Disney World and a nighttime show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But many fans have been eagerly awaiting its arrival on Disney+. The good news is, Mufasa: The Lion King will be available to stream in late March, according to The Wrap.
While the movie has already hit video on demand and Blu-Ray, Disney+ subscribers can look forward to watching it by the end of March. The announcement was made by Dana Walden at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference. The star-studded cast includes Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Tiffany Boone, Donald Glover, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Blue Ivy Carter, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. Additionally, new songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda add to the magic of the film.
As a prequel to The Lion King, Mufasa: The Lion King delves into the backstory of Simba’s father, his journey from orphan to Lion King, and has already grossed over $700 million worldwide. For fans of The Lion King, this is a must-see movie.
