2025 Emmys CBS Telecast Date Announced
The date for the 2025 Emmy Awards has been set! The 77th primetime ceremony is scheduled to air on Sunday, Sept. 14 on CBS, and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. The Television Academy has announced that the telecast will take place live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, starting at 8 p.m. ET and running for over three hours. This marks a return to the regular September scheduling for the Emmys, after the 2023 ceremony was pushed back due to strikes by Hollywood writers and actors.
The nominations for the 2025 Emmy Awards will be unveiled on July 15, with the host and producers yet to be announced. The Emmys telecast will air live across the country following the pre-taped Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sept. 6 and 7, produced by the Television Academy.
In addition to airing on CBS, the 2025 Emmys will also be available for streaming on Paramount+ for Showtime subscribers. Last year, the 2024 Emmys saw FX’s Shogun dominating the best drama categories, while Hacks emerged as the surprise winner for best comedy. The Bear collected four other big wins, and Baby Reindeer nabbed four wins, including best limited or anthology series. Richard Gadd was named best actor in a limited or anthology series and won the writing Emmy in that genre.
