Krysten Ritter Cast in Showtime’s ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Show
Krysten Ritter is set to join the cast of Showtime’s “Dexter: Resurrection,” the network announced. Ritter, known for her role in the award-winning series “Marvel’s Jessica Jones,” will guest star as Mia in the upcoming series. She has also appeared in “Sonic 3,” “Orphan Black: Echoes,” and “Love & Death,” as well as previous work in “Breaking Bad,” Nightbooks, and Big Eyes.
Filming for “Dexter: Resurrection” began in January 2025 in New York, with the show scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2025 on Paramount+ with Showtime. The series stars Michael C. Hall, a SAG and Golden Globe winner known for his role as Dexter Morgan.
Joining Hall in the cast are Uma Thurman as Charley, David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, and others including Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Emilia Suárez, James Remar, and Peter Dinklage.
The prequel series, “Dexter: Original Sin,” which follows Dexter (played by Patrick Gibson) as he evolves from student to serial killer, debuted last year and became Showtime’s most streamed global original series in a decade. The season finale garnered 2.68 million global viewers, making it the most-streamed episode of the season. The series is currently available on Paramount+ with Showtime, attracting over 15 million engaged viewers across social media during its run.
