Matthew Perry received 27 shots of ketamine before his passing, as revealed in a new documentary

Attorney Martin Estrada claims in a new documentary called “Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy.” The documentary, which was released on Peacock, delves into the final months of the Friends star’s life before his devastating passing at the age of 54 from a fatal ketamine overdose in October 2023.

According to the documentary, Perry had been given 27 doses of ketamine outside of his prescribed therapy for anxiety and depression. Five individuals have since been charged in connection to his death, including two doctors, his personal assistant, and an alleged drug dealer known as “the Ketamine Queen.”

An indictment unsealed last August revealed that Perry’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, and an acquaintance named Erik Fleming collaborated with two doctors, Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, to obtain large quantities of ketamine for Perry leading up to his tragic death. However, it was alleged that Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” supplied the ketamine that ultimately led to Perry’s demise.

On the day Perry was found deceased in his hot tub, Iwamasa administered the final three doses of ketamine purchased from Sangha. The documentary claims that Dr. Plasencia saw this as an opportunity to make money and allegedly did so.

Perry received his first ketamine shot at about 8.30 a.m. on October 28, 2023, followed by two more doses within a short time frame. Perry reportedly asked his assistant for a “big one” before instructing him to prepare the hot tub. Upon returning home, Iwamasa found Perry unconscious in the water.

Both Dr. Plasencia and Sangha have pleaded not guilty, with trials set for March 4 in Los Angeles. Iwamasa, Fleming, and Dr. Chavez have pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.

The documentary sheds light on the accountability of individuals involved in such incidents, emphasizing the need to hold drug dealers responsible for exploiting addiction issues that can lead to tragic outcomes.
