Where to Watch Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy Online
The upcoming one-hour documentary about Matthew Perry, “Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy,” is set to premiere on Feb. 25. The documentary will delve into the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of the beloved Friends star, who passed away in October 2023 at his Pacific Palisades residence.
Featuring interviews with actress Morgan Fairchild, U.S. attorney Martin Estrada, former Los Angeles Police Department detective Greg Kading, and other industry insiders and law enforcement officials, the documentary sheds light on Perry’s life and struggles. Notably, Perry’s Friends co-stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer, do not make an appearance in the documentary.
“Hollywood is full of enablers. They really preyed on somebody vulnerable,” a voiceover in the trailer notes, highlighting Perry’s well-known battle with addiction. Perry was discovered by his assistant in the hot tub of his Pacific Palisades home, having drowned due to a lethal dose of ketamine, which led to cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.
