Shaun White Snowboard League Announces Schedule in Connecticut

Shaun White, the legendary snowboarder, has announced the schedule and hosts for the inaugural season of his new snowboard league. The league will kick off in Aspen, Colorado, next week, before heading to Secret Garden in Zhangjiakou, China, and then returning to Aspen in 2026. The season will wrap up in Laax, Switzerland, after the Milan-Cortina Olympics.

The league’s opening event is scheduled for March 7-8 at Buttermilk in Aspen, and you can catch all the action streaming live on Peacock. This league, founded by White after his retirement, aims to bring together the world’s top riders and fill a void in the sport’s circuit by offering substantial prize money. The Snow League boasts a $1.6 million prize pool, with $370,000 up for grabs at each event and $160,000 for the league champions.

The competitive field will include top-ranked and defending Olympic champion Ayumu Hirano, as well as other standout riders like Nick Baumgartner, Queralt Castellet, and Sena Tomita. A unique format for the league’s events will feature head-to-head, best-of-3 bracket-style tournaments where athletes will have to drop in from both sides of the halfpipe on their first two runs.

Excitingly, freeskiing on the halfpipe will also be introduced to The Snow League, starting with the event in China. Notable freeskier Eileen Gu, who made history at the Beijing Olympics by winning gold in halfpipe and Big Air, as well as silver in slopestyle, is expected to be a key figure in this new addition to the league. Be sure to tune in to witness the thrilling competitions as the world’s top snowboarders and freeskiers push the limits of their sport.
