Liberty University Graduate Competes on Prime Video’s Beast Games
Ivy Odom, a Liberty alumna, recently found herself in the spotlight as a contestant on Prime Video’s “Beast Games.” What began as a fun idea among friends in her residence hall quickly turned into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Ivy when she was chosen as one of 1,000 participants to compete for a $5 million prize on the show hosted by MrBeast.
From the moment she applied, Ivy was in for a whirlwind adventure. With flights, accommodations, and meals provided by the show’s staff, all Ivy had to do was show up and get ready for up to six weeks of filming. Arriving in Toronto, she found herself in a massive studio alongside hundreds of other contestants, ready to take on a series of challenging tasks.
Despite feeling a bit overwhelmed initially, Ivy managed to make it through the first round of cuts, joining the 500 remaining participants in a specially created city for the show. Life on “Beast Games” felt like a mix of college and summer camp, with unexpected celebrity encounters and unforgettable experiences around every corner.
Throughout her time on the show, Ivy faced challenges that pushed her limits in every way. From intense physical trials to emotional moments, she found herself constantly surprised by how far she could go. Despite her eventual elimination during a trivia challenge, Ivy left the show with cherished memories and newfound friendships.
One of the most meaningful aspects of Ivy’s journey on “Beast Games” was the opportunity to share her faith with fellow contestants. Through conversations, prayer, and even a church service organized by a fellow believer, Ivy was able to connect with others on a deeper level and shine a light on her Christian beliefs.
Looking back on her time on the show, Ivy feels grateful for the experience and the lessons learned along the way. As all episodes of “Beast Games” season one are now available for streaming on Prime Video, viewers can follow Ivy’s adventure and witness the incredible moments that unfolded on screen.
