Watch ‘Offline Love’ on Netflix Instead of ‘Love Is Blind’
Forget swiping left or right, because “Saturday Night Live” has everyone buzzing with their recent sketch featuring Tom Hanks as a MAGA hat-wearing Trump supporter. Some people are loving it, while others are not too happy about it, including some outspoken former “SNL” cast members.
In the sketch, Hanks plays a character who proudly displays his “Make America Great Again” hat, much to the dismay of his family members. The twist comes when it is revealed that Hanks’ character is actually a racist Trump supporter who gets called out by his own family.
While some viewers found the sketch hilarious and on point, others, particularly those in the MAGA camp, did not appreciate the portrayal. Former “SNL” cast member Jon Lovitz even took to Twitter to express his disdain, calling the sketch “stupid” and criticizing Hanks for his involvement.
Love it or hate it, “SNL” has never shied away from controversial topics, and this sketch is no exception. Whether you’re a fan of political humor or not, one thing is for sure – this sketch has definitely sparked a conversation. Love it or hate it, at least we can all agree that Tom Hanks can do no wrong.
