Prime Video Reveals Sneak Peek of Nicole Kidman’s New Thriller Movie

Nicole Kidman is set to star in the upcoming thriller “Holland,” and Prime Video recently gave us a sneak peek with some first-look images and a release date. The film is scheduled to premiere at the 2025 South by Southwest (SXSW) festival on March 9, followed by its streaming debut on Prime Video on March 27. While we only have a few photos and a date for now, I’m eagerly anticipating a trailer to drop soon.

Director Mimi Cave drew inspiration from Kidman’s performance in “To Die For” (1995) while shaping her character in “Holland,” adding an element of offbeat humor to the thriller. According to Cave, Kidman brings a comedic flair to the lead role, which adds an interesting dimension to the film.

With its intriguing premise and mysterious photos, “Holland” already seems like it could be a captivating thriller with a touch of dark comedy. I’m definitely adding it to my watchlist for the end of March.

Prime Video has also shared some plot details about the movie, describing it as a “wildly unpredictable thriller” that follows a teacher named Nancy Vandergroot (played by Kidman) as her seemingly perfect life unravels in the town of Holland, Michigan. Kidman shares the screen with Matthew Macfadyen, Gael García Bernal, and others who make up a talented cast.

Considering Cave’s previous work on the horror-thriller “Fresh,” which offered a unique twist on modern dating, I’m excited to see how she approaches the storyline of “Holland.” With Kidman’s strong performance and Cave’s directing skills, this movie has the potential to be a must-watch. I’ll be keeping an eye out for its release on March 27 on Prime Video.
