Mindy Kaling Comedy Series “Not Suitable for Work” picked up by Hulu as Netflix announces new shows

Exciting news for all you comedy fans out there! Mindy Kaling, the talented US actor and comedy writer, has a brand new show in the works over at Hulu. The show, called Not Suitable for Work, is all set to follow the lives of five ambitious 20-somethings as they navigate their careers and personal lives in the bustling neighborhood of Murray Hill in Manhattan.

This project is a result of a collaboration between Warner Bros Television and Kaling International, with Charlie Grandy taking the lead as the showrunner and executive producer. Joining him are Howard Klein from 3 Arts Entertainment, alongside Kaling herself, who is the mastermind behind the creation of this exciting new comedy series.

Kaling is no stranger to the streaming world, having previously worked with Hulu on her hit series, The Mindy Project. After a successful run on Fox, Hulu picked up the show for its final three seasons, proving that Kaling and the streamer make a winning combination. She also lent her creative talents to the Four Weddings & a Funeral miniseries adaptation, which premiered on Hulu back in 2019.

And that’s not all! In addition to Not Suitable for Work, Kaling has another project in the pipeline. Netflix is gearing up for the premiere of Running Point, a comedy series that she co-created and executive produced, set to debut on February 27th.

So mark your calendars, comedy enthusiasts, because it looks like we’re in for a double dose of Mindy Kaling magic in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new shows!
