Dungeons & Dragons Live-Action Series Comes to Netflix

The highly-anticipated live-action Dungeons & Dragons series, previously teased in 2021 and initially in development at Paramount+, has officially found a new home at Netflix. Variety has confirmed this exciting news, revealing that Drew Crevello, known for WeCrashed and X-Men: First Class, will be taking on the roles of writer, executive producer, and showrunner for the show, now titled The Forgotten Realms.

While specific plot details are still under wraps, fans can look to the “D&D” campaign setting of the same name for potential clues and hints about what to expect. The series is a collaboration between eOne and Paramount Pictures, who also worked together on the 2023 film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Hasbro now oversees production, with Shawn Levy and Dan Levine serving as executive producers for 21 Laps.
