Leslie Bibb discusses challenges of filming HBO series in Thailand

his roles in The Green Mile and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, for an impressive 17 years. Inherent in their acting careers are the long distances that sometimes separate them due to various filming locales. To mitigate this, Leslie and Sam have committed to a principle of reuniting every three weeks whenever feasible, regardless of their locations.

Filming the latest season of The White Lotus in Thailand presented a unique challenge for Leslie, who shared that the most difficult part wasn’t the heat, as one might expect. With her partner Sam shooting in South Africa during her six-month stint in Thailand, Leslie had to spend three months apart from him before reuniting in South Africa and finishing filming in Bangkok together.

The White Lotus is set to return for its third season tonight on HBO, this time transporting viewers to a luxurious resort in Koh Samui, Thailand. With previous seasons set in Hawaii and Sicily, the show promises a visual treat for fans. While season three is yet to premiere, the fourth season has already been confirmed, with production scheduled to begin in 2026 at a location yet to be revealed.

Excitingly, Thai rapper Lisa from the K-pop group Blackpink is set to make an appearance in the upcoming season. At the premiere, Leslie shared her nerves about acting, admitting to feeling sweaty and struggling to remember her lines. Despite these challenges, she expressed gratitude for the supportive environment on set.

Don’t miss the return of HBO’s The White Lotus tonight at 9pm, with UK viewers able to catch the show on NOW or Sky Atlantic from 2am the following day.
