Disney+ Announces Price Increase

Disney+ is reportedly raising its prices in Australia this March. Subscribers have received an email stating that starting on March 28, 2025, the subscription will be known as the Disney+ Standard plan and will cost $15.99 per month. If you’re currently subscribed, your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the new price takes effect. The annual cost for the Standard plan will be $159.99, while the Premium plan will be $209.99 per year.

Last year, in March 2024, Disney+ had adjusted its prices to $13.99 for the Standard plan and $17.99 for the Premium plan. Recently, Disney announced that ESPN will soon be included for Disney+ subscribers at no additional cost.

Some subscribers have expressed concern about the price hike, especially with delays in new episodes of certain shows. There have been mixed reactions, with some viewers questioning the value of the service compared to the content available.
