Netflix Apple TV app bug vs feature: What you need to know
on the Continue Watching shelf on the Apple TV home screen, with their latest playback states synced.
While many of us were excited about the prospect of having Netflix on the Apple TV app, it seems that it was short-lived. The flakiness of the integration hinted at something not quite right. The Apple TV app already offers integrations with other major streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, Max, and Peacock, but Netflix has been notably absent until this bug occurred.
It’s a shame that the Netflix integration on the Apple TV app was just a glitch and has now been rolled back. For those of us who subscribe to Netflix, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see if one day we can seamlessly connect it to our Apple TV viewing experience. If you were one of the lucky ones who caught a glimpse of Netflix on the Apple TV app during this brief hiccup, consider it a fun (albeit fleeting) experience.
In the end, it’s back to the usual routine for Apple TV app users. Netflix remains on the list of hoped-for integrations, with no clear timeline for when or if it will become a reality. Until then, we’ll have to continue enjoying our favorite Netflix shows in the usual way, directly through the Netflix app itself.
