Walton Goggins shares season 2 update for Fallout star

Walton Goggins is gearing up for a return to the post-apocalyptic world in the second season of the popular video game adaptation Fallout, and he’s given us a sneak peek into how things are shaping up.

During a chat with Deadline at The White Lotus season 3 premiere, Goggins, who plays the Ghoul in the series, shared some exciting details about the progress of filming for the Prime Video sci-fi show. He revealed, “We’re in the middle of filming it right now, we’ve been at it since November. I can tell you that I thought season 1 was extraordinary, personally, I was very pleased with it.”

According to Goggins, the upcoming season is even more mind-blowing, thanks to the exceptional work of the writers and the creative team. He hinted that viewers are in for a treat and emphasized, “It’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen.”

Goggins will be joined in season 2 by familiar faces like Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten, while the addition of Macaulay Culkin in a recurring role promises to spice things up.

The Fallout co-creator, Graham Wagner, is making sure fans won’t have to wait too long between seasons. He explained to Collider, “When we wrapped season 1, we started working on season 2 in the hopes of there being interest in that from Amazon, and in the hopes of shrinking that gap [between release dates] – because leaving people on a cliffhanger for two years is a bizarre impulse.”

In the meantime, you can catch Goggins in The White Lotus, where he plays the enigmatic Rick, entangled in an unconventional relationship with the spirited Chelsea, played by Aimee Lou Wood.

If you haven’t delved into Fallout season 1 yet, you can stream it on Prime Video. Don’t forget to sign up for a 30-day free trial of Prime Video and continue at just £8.99 a month thereafter.
