Automatic Entrant into Elimination Chamber: Raw Available on Netflix
ill be a few inductees as well? Nothing has been announced yet, but I would expect there to be other inductees too.
Now, onto Netflix. I saw that Royal Rumble did 2,100,000 views on Netflix and was in their top ten. Considering the cost, is that good? Not good? I’m still trying to figure out how this all works in the streaming world. The same goes for AEW and Max… have these streaming companies given any indication of the numbers they are aiming for? My take is that 2 million for Royal Rumble seems a bit low, but I’m not an expert on these things, and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
First off, I was personally expecting higher numbers for both Raw and the PLEs. It’s surprising to me that with over 300,000,000 Netflix subscribers, WWE can’t consistently hit 5,000,000 for Raw. Without knowing what Netflix’s expectations are, it’s hard to say how they feel about it. Next year, the WWE Network deal ends on Peacock. If Netflix goes after it, it would indicate that they are happy with their relationship. If they don’t, that doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t happy. But if they opt out after five years, which they can do, that will definitely tell the story. If they don’t, it will still tell a story, just a different one.
