FOX launching new dedicated sports streaming service featuring IndyCar
Sports fans, get ready for some exciting news! FOX is gearing up to launch a dedicated sports streaming service by the end of the year. This new service will be a great option for those missing out on VENU Sports.
During a recent earnings call, FOX CEO Lachlan Murdoch shared the details of this direct-to-consumer bundle. It will include the FOX network, where all IndyCar races will be broadcast, as well as FOX Sports 1 and 2 cable channels for practices, qualifying, and the Indy NXT series.
Murdoch emphasized that FOX is still committed to the traditional cable bundle but wants to reach viewers wherever they are, including those who are no longer part of the cable bundle. For cable subscribers, access to the streaming content will be available through the FOX Sports app on various platforms like Android, Apple TV, Roku, and more.
If you don’t have cable, don’t worry! The new FOX streaming service will also offer a monthly subscription for those without cable access. While the unfortunate demise of Venu Sports has left IndyCar fans without an official streaming option this year, there are other paid services available as a temporary solution until the FOX streaming service launches.
FOX is also using its ad-supported streamer, Tubi, for select major sporting events like the NFL Super Bowl. Although Tubi won’t be a full-time outlet for all sporting content, it may come in handy for events like the Indianapolis 500.
So, sports fans, stay tuned for the launch of FOX’s new sports streaming service. It’s shaping up to be a great way to catch all your favorite sports content in one convenient place. Exciting times ahead for streaming entertainment!
