Mindshow Launches Virtual Production Suite for XR Animation for Enterprise

Mindshow recently announced the launch of its virtual production platform for enterprise partners, designed to streamline the animation process using XR headsets. To add to the excitement, the company welcomed David Baron, a former executive at Hulu and industry expert with experience at Fox Digital Media, Paramount, and Microsoft, as its new Chief Operating Officer.

Chances are you may remember Mindshow from its initial release on Steam back in 2017, where it allowed users with PC VR headsets to create animated content. Fast forward to 2025, and the company has shifted its focus to provide enterprise tools for animation.

The new enterprise production suite enables industry partners to animate in virtual studio sets with XR headsets like Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest. This platform merges real-time rendering with various tools for asset ingest and character animation, covering every stage of the production process from storyboarding to final edits.

Prior to the launch of this platform, Mindshow collaborated with several brands to create engaging videos and content for popular brands like Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Monster High, among others. The company has also worked on captivating Cameos featuring the beloved Cheetos mascot, Chester Cheetah.

While Mindshow will continue to operate its full-service production studio in Los Angeles, the platform is now available for licensing to select entertainment companies, sports organizations, and consumer brands. Key features of Mindshow include proprietary lip-sync technology, virtual studio cameras for in-app capture, motion capture for real-time character expression, and easy integration of existing 3D models for quick animation.
