Anya Taylor-Joy to Star in Apple TV+ Limited Series “Lucky”

Actress Anya Taylor-Joy is set to take the lead in and produce the Apple TV+ limited series called ‘Lucky,’ adapted from Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel. Apple TV shared the news, saying, “Anya Taylor-Joy takes on a dark criminal past in this adaptation of the New York Times best-seller. Lucky – A new limited series coming to Apple TV+.”

The series follows Taylor-Joy’s character, a young woman who left her criminal upbringing behind years ago only to be pulled back into that world one last time in a desperate bid to escape her past.

Producer Reese Witherspoon expressed her excitement in a press release, stating, “Reese’s Book Club was created to deepen connections – to the stories, the storytellers, and the community we are building. It’s incredibly rewarding to showcase these female-centered stories and their authors, watch our community engage with them, and then see them come to life on screen. We are thrilled to collaborate with Apple TV+ as well as the talented Anya Taylor-Joy, our creative force Jonathan Tropper, and co-showrunner Cassie Pappas to bring this captivating series, based on Marissa Stapley’s fantastic novel, to audiences worldwide.”
