Justin Herbert Throws 4 Interceptions as Chargers Season Ends with 32-0 Loss
The Houston Texans had an impressive victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card Game, with Eric Murray returning one of Justin Herbert’s career-high four interceptions for a touchdown. C.J. Stroud threw a TD pass as the Texans secured a 32-12 win.
It was a tough game for Herbert, who had only thrown three interceptions in the regular season. Facing a strong Texans defense led by cornerback Derek Stingley, Herbert struggled with four picks in the game.
Despite returning to the playoffs under first-year coach Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers couldn’t secure a win and lost in the wild-card round for the second consecutive year. Meanwhile, Stroud and the Texans advanced to the divisional round for the second year in a row.
Stroud had a solid performance, throwing for 282 yards with a touchdown pass to Nico Collins. Joe Mixon also contributed with 106 rushing yards and a score. The Texans defense came up big with key interceptions and a blocked extra point returned for two points by D’Angelo Ross.
Although the Chargers made a late-game push with an 86-yard touchdown reception by Ladd McConkey, their efforts weren’t enough to overcome the Texans’ lead. The game ended with a final score of 32-12 in favor of Houston.
The Texans now look ahead to the divisional round as they aim to make franchise history by advancing to the AFC championship game for the first time. It was a tough loss for the Chargers, but they put up a good fight in the playoffs.
