Sesame Street Reveals All-Star Lineup for Final Season on Max
“Sesame Street” is gearing up for its final new season on Max with an impressive lineup of guest stars. The beloved children’s series will kick off its 55th season on January 16th on the streaming platform, featuring appearances from pop star Renee Rapp, Grammy winner SZA, singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, actor Michael B. Jordan, jazz artist Samara Joy, country singer Chris Stapleton, “Queer Eye” star Jonathan Van Ness, and tennis legend Billie Jean King.
The upcoming season will focus on emotional well-being, aiming to help children understand and manage big feelings through engaging and relatable stories. SZA, in particular, will bring an alt-R&B-pop track about gratitude to the show, teaching Elmo a new word.
Last month, Max announced that the 55th season would be the last one to debut on the platform. However, the show will continue to license episodes from its library through 2027 as it looks for a new home. The show’s producer, Sesame Workshop, has promised to invest in top-notch programming and plans to announce new distribution plans in the coming months to ensure that “Sesame Street” continues to reach as many children as possible for generations to come.
Fans can look forward to an exciting season ahead packed with celebrity guests and valuable lessons for young viewers.
