Irish Hockey Falls Short Despite Strong Start – Game Recap

The University of Notre Dame hockey team had a strong start in their game against the Michigan Wolverines, but unfortunately, they fell short with a final score of 5-3. In the second period, the Wolverines took the lead, beating Notre Dame’s goalie, Nicholas Kempf, with two more goals. Although the Irish managed to score another goal from Axel Kumlin, they were unable to catch up to Michigan’s lead.

Despite the loss, Cole Knuble had a standout performance, contributing to all three of Notre Dame’s goals. With a total of eight goals and 13 assists this season, Knuble has been a key player for the team.
